When I was around 9 or 10 years old, I rode a bus to church every Sunday. The bus driver was a red-headed guy named Mike. He was a friendly guy that always smiled, but didn't say much. He put me to work leading kids to sing songs on the bus and running to doors to get kids to get on the bus to come to church. He was always friendly to me and happy to see me each week when he picked me up.

You know, to this day, I don't remember his last name. I only remember him as red-headed Mike. But what a huge difference he made in my life by picking me up for church! In fact, if not for him, I may not even be a Christian today, much less a pastor.

I only wish I had told Mike just how much he meant to me. But, being a kid, I didn't think to do such a thing. And I bet sometimes he was tired or felt like quitting or wondered if he was making a difference for God or doing anyone any good. The answer, of course, was a huge YES! His faithfulness in driving that bus saved my soul and launched me on a spiritual journey that ultimately landed me in full time ministry as an adult. Then, as a Pastor, God has used me to reach hundreds, if not thousands for Jesus.

And all because red-headed Mike drove a Church bus.

Never underestimate the impact that serving others has on them - including & especially kids. They may never tell you just how much you've touched their lives or even realize it themselves at the time. But trust me, you are impacting them in a huge way - far beyond anything you may have imagined. And God may even use what you are doing for him to save hundreds or thousands of souls.

Get involved and keep serving at church. Never quit. Souls will be snatched from hell because of it, including little boys who need Jesus.
