I just read about a 15-yr. Miami, Florida boy named Erik Stone scheming to kill his own mother (both are in picture at left). Stone promised a 13-yr. old friend, Marko Lazovic, that he would let him into his "Sons of Anarchy" club if he stabbed his mother. So, Lazovic waited until Mrs. Stone was dropping off Erik at his father’s house for the weekend and then approached her and stabbed her in the chin with a steak knife. Thankfully, the knife broke before Lazovic could stab her again and Mrs. Stone survived.

What strikes me about this story is that the victim, Mrs. Stone, doesn't want her son to go to jail, but to see a psychiatrist. But her son doesn't need a psychiatrist; he needs to stop being involved in clubs like Sons of Anarchy! The word anarchy just means lawlessness. There is actually a popular television show that started in 2008 called Sons of Anarchy about a biker gang that primarily makes money by illegally importing weapons and selling them to drug gangs. Their logo is the Grim Reaper wielding an M-16 machine gun and a bloody scythe blade and holding a crystal ball with the letter "A" on it which stands for "Anarchy" or lawlessness. This is what inspired Erik Stone to form his Sons of Anarchy club. He's obviously a huge fan of the show. Yet, the show glorifies lawlessness and violence at the hands of the Sons of Anarchy.

I am continually amazed at what parents let their kids watch on television. They let them watch shows that glorify lawlessness and bloody violence, as well as sexual immorality & rebellion. Then, when these shows are used by demons to lead their kids to do unthinkable things, they scratch their head and wonder why. Or, they think their kids need a psychiatrist.

Wrong! What their kids need is Godly parenting! They need parents who will make them turn the filth off - whether it comes through tv, video games, music, cell phones, the Internet, friends, or whatever.

The biggest problem with kids these days is parents! They need to take charge of their homes and stop the satanic onslaught of moral filth pouring into their kids' heads! They also need to abandon all the psychobabble and amoral nonsense that pours out of Hollywood and the psychiatric community that abhors God and all he stands for. They need to start taking their kids to church and insisting they read the Bible so that they can learn Godly morals and values and start to live right. And they need to firmly discipline them when they get out of line and absolutely refuse to let them mouth off or rule their homes!

That's all that's needed here. Not psychiatrists. Not psychoanalysis. Not walking around scratching our heads wondering how it could happen when we read stories like Erik Stone's. Just plain old Godly parenting and a return to Biblical morals and values by parents - that’s what kids need.

When we do this, all these weird, whacky, insane, nonsensical, immoral acts of violence will stop - and not one second before.
